Happy 2nd Birthday, TNTH! 🎂

Happy Birthday, TNTH! And happy birthday to me as well!

Two years ago, we officially launched TNTH. That’s crazy. A lot has happened in two years: Memes were made, grad school was completed, Donald Trump became our dumbass president… but besides some negatives along the way, a lot of great things have happened, and starting TNTH was one of the greatest decisions I impulsively made at midnight one night.

I didn’t think TNTH would last, to be honest, and I think I mentioned this last year on its one-year anniversary post as well. To be honest, I didn’t have that much faith in myself keeping up with a blog that I only first started to keep me busy during my semester breaks of grad school. But as I started writing and posting and seeing that even a tenth of my content was resonating with some of you guys, I felt like my voice was relatable, and finally heard after not being so for a very long time.

So many great series’ has come out of TNTH: We did “Twelve Days of TNTHmas” for the last two holiday seasons, we daily-blogged the entire month of August and called it “The Blogust Series“, we have kept “Self-Appreciation Saturday” running ever since TNTH’s earliest days, we started to document some travels in “The Travel Diaries“, and we made “A Voiceless Rant” some of the rawest and most personal pieces of writing I’ve ever shared to the world. Of course, some things come and go and some just never came back, but TNTH will always have the same mission that it had even when I first started posting on here.

TNTH, in its simplest form, is just a platform of positivity, good vibes, and honesty. We speak our minds to show others just how empowering and brave it is to share personal stories and struggles to the world. We make sure that nothing is censored or limited to our audience because some of the issues we discuss are some of the issues we need to be speaking publicly about. TNTH, for me, is my voice in its purest form. My writing will always be a good representation of what my voice sounds like, and even though it may not sound so put together in person, I can at least make people listen by reading the words on this blog. My mission for TNTH is to help others discover their voices while I’m still discovering my own as a 25-year-old woman in this world.

And I, for one, will not be silenced.

So, I encourage any of you dwelling on an idea for a project to take action and at least try it out. Try to create something that you can rightfully label as your own. Whether it’s just for hobby interests or if it’s something you want to take professionally, do it. Even if you can’t handle it or don’t have the time required to continue it, at least you can say you tried it out. Let’s start making dreams into actions, shall we?

So, Happy Birthday, TNTH. Thank you for providing me a safe space where I can be myself without repercussions. Thank you for allowing me to continue being a writer, and thank you for existing! Also, thank you for introducing the small community that is the TNTH community. It rocks!

TNTH, Life, and Some Exciting News.

Hey, guys, welcome back to TNTH!

How’s everyone doing? It’s finally Friday which means the weekend is here and all ready for you to relax and hang back on work for a couple of days. For me, the summer feels like a never-ending weekend, and hey – I shouldn’t take it for granted. Anyway, I wanted to stop by on here and write a little update-ish type of post for you guys. It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these and granted it’s going to be awhile until I post something on here after this one. Lemme explain.

Yeah, I’m on one of those “social media detox” things again. Life hasn’t been all carefree and good to me in a long time, so I’m taking the time need to take care of myself while I go through this time in my life. Because of that, TNTH has been delayed, yes, but I promise I’ll be working behind the scenes to get some new content coming out starting in August.

With that being said, I wanted to do a 31-day daily blog thing where I kinda reintroduce myself, my content, and TNTH all over again. Blogust. It sounded better in my head, but we’re rolling with it. Some posts will be long and lengthy like previous posts, and some will just be sweet and simple, and just about anything I could think about writing about. I want this to feel like a fresh start in a way and see where the blog goes from there. Until then, I’ll be prepping these posts for the rest of the month while being away from the internet for awhile.

Until then, I hope everyone has a great rest of the month, and I’ll see you guys in August!

Happy Thanksgiving! (& some other stuff to discuss.)

Screenshot 2017-11-22 at 12.39.12 AM.png

Hey guys, welcome back to TNTH.

Happy Thanksgiving, TNTH readers! Whether or not you celebrate the holiday, I hope everyone has a “first official day of the holiday season” and eat up all the food you want! I personally don’t look forward to Thanksgiving for the food; I really enjoy it for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade because it’s always been a tradition of mine to sit in the kitchen with my mother and watch the parade as she gets ready to start cooking the food. A typical Thanksgiving day for me is just that: watching the parade, the dog show, and doing homework for the rest of the day.

Also, Thanksgiving is definitely a day of reflection for me. It reminds me of the year as a whole and who I’m grateful for being here for me in the year. This year, I have a lot to be grateful for; this year my family and I personally went through a lot; so I’m grateful that even though we’ve all been through a lot, we still believe that the only people we’ll have in life are our family. I’m also incredibly grateful for Obie for continuously being there for me whenever I needed him the most. Thank you for being around when I’m happy, sad, stressed, anxious; pretty much thank you for being around 24/7. Seriously though, thank you for having such a kind heart, and thank you for allowing me to see that.

Of course, I am also grateful for the people who continuously show up and support me on TNTH, whether they know me personally or if you’re someone from around the world! I personally want to thank you all for supporting and reading TNTH for the last 11 months. it’s been an adventure writing for the blog and having the tiny community we have on here. Again, thank you for reading and for being a part of a journey that I had no intentions of going on when I started 2017!

Which brings me to my next topic:

TNTH isn’t officially back from hiatus. I just wanted to stop by and wish everyone a great day, and to let you all know that I have plans to make TNTH even bigger and better than it was before. But before I do that, I have to wrap up this semester! So, like I said before, TNTH will be back the week of December 18th!

If you’ve been here from the beginning, you would know that I launched TNTH on my 23rd birthday this year and in January 2018, it would be a year since I started the blog; I want to celebrate this milestone! As I mentioned on the TNTH Facebook Page, I’ve been following a content creator I’ve known since high-school, (you can find her on her Youtube channel and her social media accounts under “MermaidQueenJude” if you’re interested in seeing what she does) and she is currently daily blogging every single day for the month of November, and I really enjoyed following her along with it. I decided that for the entire month of January, I will be daily blogging on TNTH! I will finally have the time to write content for you guys, and the best time to celebrate my birthday month and TNTH’s anniversary month will be a “Blogaversary Month Thingymabob”. The name is pending.

If you’d like me to talk about something while doing this 31-day writing spree, please let me know either here, or under this post on the Facebook page!

Again, thank you guys for everything you’ve allowed me to express and talk about on this blog. This blog has opened a new door for my writing, and I hope I get to do something like this for the rest of my life.

I’ll see you guys in December! I got papers to finish! (and parades to watch and food to eat!)

It’s the most stressful time of the year…

Hey guys – welcome back to TNTH.

Related image

So, it’s November, and I sold myself short in October. I was able to put out a TNTH post every Tuesday and Saturday in the month of October after telling you guys that the blog would be going on hiatus.

While I wish I was able to do the same in November, I know that I can’t.

November is the time of the month where I begin the “work all day and night” portion of my semester. Final papers are due in December, and I have to begin getting ready for them.

I will try my best to keep you guys posted whenever I can.

See you guys soon!

TNTH Update for October!

Hey, guys – welcome back to TNTH!

Regarding posts in October, TNTH is going on a little hiatus for the month. Writing two posts a week is going to be a little bit intense in the next month due to school. I won’t be completely gone; every now and then I’ll randomly write a post for the blog, but it wouldn’t be on schedule. It will literally be a random post I publish that was written like 3 hours before only because I needed to write whatever was on my mind.

The last scheduled post that will be going up on TNTH is publishing this Saturday, October 7th.

Until then, thank you for supporting TNTH and understanding how crazy life can get through school semesters. One more semester, Liz… ONE MORE SEMESTER.

Have a great Spooktober, and I’ll see you on the next post!

This is the official 100th post of TNTH! It hasn’t even been a year since TNTH first launched; it’s crazy how time (and posts) flies.

Without making this too cheesy, I just wanted to thank everyone who stops by to read anything that’s posted on this blog. You’re not obligated to do so, but I guess there’s something on this little blog site that you wanted to read, and I thank you for even taking an interest in it. I’ve learned a lot about myself in these 100 posts. Like anything in life, you have your ups and downs, and I know that TNTH has seen some days being on hiatus or there were posts that were just written just to fit the schedule. Whatever the case was, I always come back to TNTH. TNTH has opened a new world of writing for me that I want to pursue in the future; it showed me what kind of writing I wanted to do and how to do it.

In celebration of 100 posts on TNTH, here are some posts that I had fun writing and posting on TNTH:

5-Minute Countdown Live-streams!

Exciting news!

On April 11th, April 13th, and April 15th,  I will be live-streaming on Instagram five minutes before a new blog post gets published on TNTH. Obviously, I’m trying out this new feature during my Spring Break to reach out to my audience a little bit more and to get more people on board with TNTH. If you miss a live-stream, do not worry; I will begin to let people know on Instagram stories when there’s a new post up from here on out. Personally, I find it a lot easier to tell you guys on Instagram via Stories than to post a picture about the post. (Of course if I’m busy to announce it on InstaStories, then a picture on the gram will be posted.)

If you are an active supporter of TNTH and don’t want to miss these live-streams, make sure you are following me on Instagram, which is on the homepage as well as this thingymabob hereNote: this isn’t a “follow4follow”, so please don’t ask me to follow back.

This week-long event is solely just a test to see if live-streaming brings people out to TNTH, so if it doesn’t give me the results that I’m looking for, I won’t be doing it anymore. If it’s better than I expected, then I will be live-streaming regularly before every published blog post during the summer time.

Again, thank you so much for the support of TNTH. I know I really can’t do much to the blog as of now because of grad school, but just know that I’m in the works of creating refreshing and new ideas for the blog. With that being said, DON’T BE AFRAID TO LEAVE SOME SUGGESTIONS IN MY SUGGESTION BOXI don’t bite, and I’m more than curious to see if there’s anything you will like me to discuss or do (maybe a Q&A, a certain tag, creative writing pieces – anything).

Anyway, I’m very excited to try this live-streaming thing out and see how it goes; I’ll see you guys there! (There meaning Instagram, obviously).
